The University of Utah Seismograph Stations reports that a minor earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred in southeastern Utah at 02:09 PM on June 06, 2008 (MDT). The epicenter of the shock was located 7 mi NE of Bluff, UT and 18 mi S of Blanding, UT.

Released: February 21, 2008 9:40 AM MST
The University of Utah Seismograph Stations reports that a strong earthquake of magnitude 6.0 occurred in northeastern Nevada at 07:16 AM on February 21, 2008 (MST). The epicenter of the shock was located 5 mi ENE of Wells, NV. The earthquake was widely felt in northern Nevada, northern Utah, southern Idaho, Oregon, and California, with more that 2000 felt reports logged on the University of Utah web site. As of 9:30 am MST, at least 16 aftershocks had occurred, with the largest being a shock of preliminary magnitude 4.7 at 7:34 am.

University of Utah Seismograph Stations

The University of Utah Seismograph Stations reports that a small earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred at 11:52 PM on January 31, 2008 (MST). The epicenter of the shock was located on the western edge of the Sevier Plateau, 1 mile SSE of Kingston and 5 mi ENE of Circleville, UT. The event was reported felt in Circleville. A total of 11 earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater have occured within 25 km of the epicenter of this event since 1962. The largest of these events was a magnitude 4.0 on September 10, 1994, located 7 mi S of Circlevile, UT.
