Friends, neighbors, and volunteers offer a prayer for Mrs. Marilyn Stowe of Sandy, Utah, after giving up the search for her body. Her husband, Mark Stowe, also died in the landslide. His body was recovered.

The Army Corp of Engineers race to complete a spillway at the top of the Madison Canyon landslide. It was feared that the newly forming "Earthquake Lake" would break through the landslide-dam and cause devastation downstream.
